[ooc: Let's say this happens after any other threads, so BFF time doesn't interfere with Gongjin making friends time, y/n?]

Though Sun Ce had been making good use of his time back in his hometown, visiting his family and friends often, catching up with everyone. But it just so happened that, had Zhou Yu bothere to ask, he would have found that Bofu didn't have much of anything planned that evening. Instead, he had devoted most of the day to repairing his plane, using the spare parts he'd picked up in Melior before they left to get it back in the condition it had been in before the spiders showed up.

He could only work for so long without needing a break, though, and as the evening set in, he was getting pretty sick of the sight of the hangar. Making a nominal effort at wiping away the engine grease on his hands and arms, Sun Ce decided to go out to the deck and get a breath of fresh air. He straightened his ponytail, tossed his tools into the cockpit, and walked on up.

As he got near the deck, he heard the familiar sound of a dizi ( ... )

Unfortunately for Sun Ce, his definition of 'quietly' translated into 'not so quietly' for his friend. Despite this, however, Zhou Yu let Sun Ce believe that he had been too engrossed with the playing of his dizi to notice. He only stopped when Sun Ce finally spoke. At that moment, Zhou Yu put the dizi down and turned to greet his friend with a smile.

"Naturally," he said finally, in response to Sun Ce's declaration. "And how has your musical skills been faring, my friend?"

It would have been a bit of a stretch to say that Sun Ce had any "musical skills" as such, but he'd always liked listening to Zhou Yu. He grinned, shrugging a little.

"Oh, about the same as ever," he replied, by which he meant "badly". "You been up here long?"

Zhou Yu laughed a little at Sun Ce's response. It was always refreshing to be with Sun Ce like this. His friend's demeanor was something he had sorely missed, been missing until now. Bofu was far from proper, was often reckless, but painfully honest. He certainly did not possess the normal traits a noble would have, and that in addition to his unfaltering confidence, was what Zhou Yu truly appreciated in his friend.

"Not for very long," Zhou Yu paused. "You were not busy?"

Adrian has just finished some light reading in her room to distract herself with the brief conversation she had with Mr. Toshirou but she just couldn't stop feeling restless. Rising up from her bed, she strode over to her door and opened it, making her way through the hallways and stairs up to the top deck of the Victoria.

Maybe some fresh air would do her good, help her clear her mind a bit. The topic of morality was never a light one, and she wondered if it was better had she not said anything at all.

Walking towards the railing, she sighed quietly, completely immersed in her own world and negligent to notice anyone else on the deck.

Though quiet, Zhou Yu's trained ears easily picked that sigh apart from the dizi. He promptly stopped playing and approached the source of the sigh, which was the young lady who had arrived only moments ago. It seemed that she had some burden that needed to be eased.

He approached her.

"For what reason are you sighing on a night like this, my lady?"

If Adrian noticed the abrupt stop of the music, she paid no heed.

Instead, she leaned over the railing with her arms crossed, holding the side of her face with one hand and peering down. She blinked slowly, mulling over her thoughts--only to be interrupted by the sudden sound of someone approaching and a voice.

Adrian turned around quickly and blinked, staring at the other...man? Woman? with a surprised expression.

"O-Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't notice you were here."

Zhou Yu smiled and bowed his head slightly in greeting. "I'm not surprised. You seemed to be very deep in thought. I am Zhou Yu. Perhaps we have not had the chance to introduce ourselves yet over the message boards? In any case, I am this ship's newest Navigator."

He stopped there. It would not do at all to go on and on like this.
