The image of what was under the clouds was still bright in his mind. He still didn't really KNOW what it was that he had seen, but he knew it was something important and wonderful. And he had been up rather late pondering it. On top of that there was the.... interesting story that Joshua kid had posted on the Network. THAT was a distraction for sure.
But he was up and moving now, and when he reached Kambei he was bright eyed and bouncy. He gave a clumsy bow.
"Sorry Sensei..."

He glanced at the bokkens in Kambei's hands, awaiting instructions.

"For today I testing the both of you in strength and endurance...." The samurai quickly explained. "You two shall spar until I say for you to stop. I'll be watching you both with a keen eye for any flaws in your swordsmanship."

He stepped back, guesturing at the other student with the weapon, smirking. "You up for dis, yo?"

Thusly she'd been hanging out in the rigging most of the day, waiting for the trio to show up. It had been a good vantage point for most of the fight and they had either not noticed her or were choosing to ignore her and her low laughs at the techniques she observed.
One the brawl broke out, of course, her snickering turned into a full-blown laugh, even as she noticed the blonde from the cargo hold had appeared down below her.
Nimbly she jumped down, hitting the deck next to Cloud in a crouch. "Hey Spikes," she greeted him cheerfully. "Come to watch the samurai?"

"Hey, Anko. I was just doing some looking around the ship when I came across this..." he replied. "These guys are...samurai?" He sounded genuinely surprised by the description; he had met a few samurai in his travels, and they all seemed so much more...disciplined.

Though she had to admit, the dark-haired one was not too terribly bad, if showy and rough in his movements. Beat, however, had no subtlety to his movements, though might have had the upper hand, just by a bit, in the raw brawl Kambei pulled apart. "Definitely still learning."
She gave a glance at Cloud. "You any good with your sword?" She asked curiously. It was a rather big weapon, to be sure.
