But it seemed that she was not going to receive one today.

From down the corridor leading to the holding cells, a muffled, yet hollow, sound began to approach. The closer it came, the more evident it was that it probably wasn't any old crew member, or a male for that matter, if what was being heard was, in fact, a pair of heels. And judging from the pattern of calculated footsteps, it was someone of great control.

Or so one would think.

"Rin-chan..." purred a musical voice before the owner of it had been revealed. Moments later, the slender form of Yuuko Ichihara appeared in the doorway, one hand coming up to rest on the frame. "I must say, I am very surprised to see you here."

Rin picked up on the sound right away and raised an eyebrow when she realized it was that of a pair of heels. Now who would wear heels on a ship like this?

When the owner of the heels was before her and that voice called her name, Rin's eyes widened. This wasn't something she could have expected at all.

"Yuuko-san!?" she exclaimed in a hushed, surprised voice. She regained her composure however and calmed down. "I could say the exact same thing." she added with a small smile.

"What are you doing here?"

Warmly, the sorceress returned the smile.

"You realize, Rin, that that is a question that someone in a holding cell is really in no position to ask?" There was a layer of mirth hidden in her words, and her eyes sparkled in amusement. It was a valid question, and Yuuko merely stood there with her body weight pressed into the door frame, her smile transforming into a knowing smirk.

"And after all, I asked first."

"I suppose you have a point." Rin said, although to be honest she didn't want to admit that.

"I was on a ship called the Montague when it was bombed and subsequently crashed. They think one of us survivors is the one responsible for the bombing so they're keeping us here for interrogation. So there you go." she explained.

Or at least...that was the situation yesterday. She noted one of the survivors was missing...
