Content: The two girls get to know each other while cleaning up the Way.
Setting: Clean up on the deck.
Time: clean o'clock. OK, day.

Ariel just wanted to be the most help she could be right now. She meant every word she said in her entry, which was exactly why she volunteered to help clean. After making sure everything was in order in the records room (she knew if Vash needed anything he would come in and get it himself, so she wanted to make sure it was all easily findable) she headed down to deck with a mop in hand.

Upon arriving, she noticed another female crew mate with her back to her. She smiled; she must be here to clean too!

"Yeah!" Ariel exclaimed right after Haruhi's "Let's go!". She hadn't taken into account if the other girl had even noticed her there yet...

Haruhi spun around at that unexpected 'Yeah!' Huh, had she seen this person before? Oh yeah, Haruhi thought she had seen the girl around before somewhere. The Way was always picking up people so it was hard to keep track.

Anyway, this girl seemed pretty nice, and it looked like she wanted to help! Always a plus in Haruhi's book, especially if the person helping turned out to be someone who was easily manipulated! Wait, that wasn't right. Anyway!

She smiled back at the girl, thrusting her fist in the air once more. "Yeah! You take over there and I'll take over here! Go!" Haruhi brushed past her and pretty much slammed her mop down onto the deck, suds flying everywhere. It was pretty much like she was attacking the thing.

"All righty!" Ariel replied as she took her mop and dunked it into the bucket before going over to the spot she would clean.

She was a lot gentler with her mop, but still very rigorous. After a moment, Ariel realized she didn't know the name of the other girl and turned her head back towards her to correct this.

"Oh yeah, I don't think we've met before. My name's Ariel, I'm the records keeper!"

Haruhi stopped what she was doing as Ariel called out to her. She gave the girl a grin, and slammed the wood end of her mop down onto the floor. Satisfied with the loud sound it made, she put a hand on her hip.

"I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, actress extraordinaire!" She yelled this quite loudly, even though there was probably no need to.

"You're pretty new, right?"
