Ever since Toshirou had lost control of himself the other day, Heihachi had been having uneasy premonitions that it probably wouldn't be the last time, but he'd hoped with Jushirou keeping an eye on the situation it wouldn't get out of hand.

Jushirou couldn't be everywhere at once though. There was a salvage to oversee, and despite his encouragements, Toshirou wouldn't seek anyone's help on the matter, which had finally lead to this. It had started with a shipwide chill, but after checking out the heating system there was nothing amiss...until the furnaces had inexplicably started to dim, and the cold became more oppressive. Heihachi was already intimately acquainted with it, and had realised what was going on right before Toshirou's scream had sounded across the network ( ... )

Gritting his teeth at the force of the impact, Toshirou doubled the energy he was putting into his attacks. He was going to push his friend as much as he could, he didn't want Jushirou to hold back. The young man might not have the older man's skill but he was a quick learner.

His eyes flashed as they locked blades for a brief moment before breaking away. Callilng on Hyorinmaru again, Toshirou swung his blade around sending the ice dragon straight at his mentor. One way or another he was going get someone to stop him. Whether that person was Jushirou, Ikkaku or one of the other people standing nearby it didn't matter.

Shuddering violently, the deck of the ship shuddered as the massive dragon of ice repeatedly slammed against it; the Silvana, a proud warship with plenty of power to spare, had no choice but to tip and rock around for a moment until it was able to stabilize its flight path once again, and this meant everyone on the open deck would be tossed around on a thin coating of ice ( ... )

It had happened so suddenly. One second the dragon had shot into the deck, and the next, the entire ship had lurched violently, as if it were a thrashing snow globe. Almost instantly, Tear could feel her body harsly careen downwards, following the stagger of the Silvana. A pricking sensation crisply stung her skin, the pain of the collision magnified by the fresh coat of ice completely covering the ground. Exhaling sharply, her breath emerging visibly in the cold, her eyes shut for a few moments, her hands clenched tightly into fists ( ... )

Toshirou caught Ikkaku's movement out of the corner of his eye. Finally someone was going to try and stop him. However at the last second even the bald guy held back and swung his sword down towards his hands.

With a disgusted sound, the young man brought one of his ice wings up blocking the attack as best as he could. Unfortunately the movement put him right in the path of Tear's blade.

Searing pain shot through his left shoulder and he cried out falling to one knee. Wings instictively wrapped around him to form a small shield. Gasping trying to gather his energy, Toshirou struggled to his feet. If he wanted people to stop him, it looked like he'd have to go all out. He couldn't hold anything back.

"That's enough!" Jushirou shouted, using an electrified blade to cut through the dragon that flew towards him. The pain still came, of course, as the intense cold rushed bast him. But he had to ignore it, he had to push on. He made a few more steps, his arms heave with ice, and prepared what he hoped would be the attack needed to finally put an end to this.

Ikkaku and Tear were two close...it was obvious what Toshirou wanted. He wanted Jushirou to finish him...he truly believed that was the only way to stop it. And...

No!

He couldn't do that! There was always another option! And he knew just what. With a whispered casting, he crossed the blades of Sogyo no Kotowari in front of him. From them a great swirling serge of water formed and was launched at all three of them with enough pressure to take them off their feat. He would apologize later...but no one would die this day! He couldn't allow it!

Toshirou fell as Jushirou's attack hit him, the impact with the ground only drove the small blade in his shoulder deeper and he hissed briefly closing his eyes at the pain. At least the older man was finally getting serious, the young man thought.

Standing with some difficulty, Toshirou held his blade out in front of him, point aimed at his mentor once more. "Daiguren HYORINMARU!" Toshirou shouted ice wings beating at the air as he flew once more at Jushirou.

The situation just kept getting worse. As Ikkaku looked on, Jushirou didn't seem to be in any condition to be fighting like this, and there was certainly no doubt that his heart wasn't in it. As much as he hated that kind of responsibility, he realized that he'd probably be the one to have to do this, if only to take the burden off of Jushirou's shoulders ( ... )

Toshirou growled as Ikkaku intercepted his attack. It looked like the baldy wasn't done just yet, which was just fine with him. He was taken aback by the sudden change in the other man's attack but realized he shouldn't be, every Zanpakuto was different.

He ducked as the blade swung towards his face, thankful that the ice around his hand kept his grip on the blade. Even as he felt himself being pulled off balance he saw a one flaw in the attack, he could fly whereas Ikkaku couldn't. Hissing, he swung his tail around stabbing at the bald warrior as he pushed at the air with his wings. Pain lanced through his shoulder, where the blade was still lodged in the muscle and he faltered in midair.

She hadn't wanted to get in the way of Ikkaku and Jushirou's blades if she could avoid it - and the rush of water Jushirou unleashed was proof enough that that had been a good idea.

But that only went so far, and she wasn't just going to stand by forever. It didn't look like Toshirou was going to go down easily, and for the sake of the ship if nothing else, taking him down quickly was a priority. Ikkaku's attacks on Toshirou were coming too fast and furious for her to count on avoiding being hit by any of them herself if she went to the attack now, but that at least had the advantage that Toshirou probably wouldn't be expecting her.

He wasn't too high in the air, and Ikkaku's chain around his blade should hold him down long enough...she bounded forwards, and leapt up at Toshirou as he faltered. Even if her considerable weight and momentum couldn't knock him to the ground, she should at least be able to knock him off-balance enough to stop him countering Ikkaku's next attack.

The young man grunted as something slammed into him knocking him out of the air. He hit the ground hard, whatever had struck him had done more than knock the breath out of him. His left shoulder throbbed dully, and he wondered if it was dilocated. Something warm was trickling down one side of his face, probably blood he thought as he struggled to stand. He wasn't surprised, it could have been from the fall, or anything really.

Everyone's attacks were starting to wear him down, especially that irriating doctor that was slowly draining his energy. It was just as well, he hadn't expected the fight to go on forever, but he certainly wasn't going down without fighting every step of the way.

Eyes flashing, he gripped his sword in his right hand, the left hanging uselessly. "Souten ni zase, Hyorinmaru!" He shouted once more unleashing the dragon on everyone.

That irritating doctor had more than one trick up his sleeve. As the ship had careened with Hyourinmaru's blow, he had concentrated reiatsu under his feet, enabling him to keep his footing. It was a hirenkyaku technique, in reverse. The drain had barely slowed; rather, Ryuuken redoubled his efforts, and an arrow had begun to glow on his bowstring. If needed, he would take the brat out ( ... )

Heihachi hadn’t been idle even though he’d held back from the direct fighting. He could tell from the way they moved that Jushirou and Madarame were much more skilled at it, and even they were having trouble finding an opening to take Toshirou down without hurting him too badly. Instead he’d been biding his time, watching Toshirou’s movements and trying to think of some kind of alternative ( ... )

In amidst of the chaos, no one noticed the golden haired woman that boarded the ship a few moments ago. She came from the desert, walking lazily towards the Silvana with such serenity in her step. Before boarding the vessel, she felt a strong reiatsu flowing from above the imposing vessel. It was when she spotted the enormous beast that looming above the ship that her languid pace quickened ten-fold. She dash right up the gangplank like a streak of lightning, running out towards the top deck where she spotted the others. The woman lingered away from the rest of the fighters, observing them all briefly ( ... )

The young man snarled as he saw the attack was diverted by Ryuuken's arrow. He was just about to fly at the doctor when something ripped through one of his wings. Cursing he whirled around raising his blade to strike his attacker, only to stop in mid swing as he saw who it was. "Heihachi......" Why was his friend here?! How much more would he end up hurting the other man before someone finally stopped him ( ... )

Behind him, the Dog watched in consternation as Hitusgaya's wing regrew, and even more so as he seemed to be resuming the attack.
Again? Was the kid never going to give up? Did he want to get himself killed, not to mention everyone else?

Barking furiously - not infused with any sort of magic, she just hoped to divert the boy's attention from his attack - she leapt at him, teeth bared, going for his upraised arm. If she could sink her teeth into that, it ought to stop him using the sword. If he evaded, at least it would take his time and attention.
