Anise skipped on her way down to the kitchen, apron already tied on. Even Tokunaga was wearing a little apron; Anise liked it when they matched. She didn't rush (Ryohei said he wouldn't do anything before everyone else got there, so there was an unlikely chance of him screwing something up in the meantime) but still hoped she would get there before Miss Adrian or the cat. She still had to investigate Ryohei's background to see if he was husband material after all.

Finally arriving at the kitchen she triumphantly called with a hand in the air "I'm here Ryohei~!"

Ryohei turned when Anise called to him, grinning widely and lifting a hand in return, the other holding a book. "Hey, Anise! Good timing! I just got all the books we have on baking gathered up!" He raised the book a bit, shutting it with one hand before he plopped it on the pile again. Making his way to a chair, he grabbed his apron and started to put it on. One person was here, so it was best to start getting himself prepared.

While he was tying the apron in the back, he tilted his head a little when he spotted Tokunga's own apron. His grin widened a little, seeming a bit amused. "You and Tokunga match! That's extremely cute!"

He was still oblivious about her investigation, as well as the encouragement that would probably provide.

The moment Adrian heard news that Ryohei would be assisting in Jade's secret birthday celebration, she dropped the long, romance novel she was reading (and just when it as getting good, too) to quickly switch into more suitable clothes. She ran down to the kitchen, stopping only a foot away from the door to smooth down the wrinkles of her clothes and hair to make sure her rushing down wasn't too obvious before opening the door.

She slipped into the kitchen, turning to the side to pick up her own apron from the side, tying it on as she made her way towards the other two.

"Good afternoon, Ryohei, Miss Anise."

Already she did a subtle examination of the kitchen counter and floor with wary eyes, sighing in relief at the way they sparkled back at her.

Garfield had been at the docks earlier, awaiting for the arrival of the food he had ordered from the Melior branch of the Italian restaurant the Mamma Leonli's. It helped that he had been born there, so the cat was accustomed enough with the cooks and their fancy lingo. Ten minutes, some doings with his journal and a couple of phonecalls later and the order was here. The cat managed to trick enlist the help of two of the cabin boys to help him in transporting the food over to the kitchens.

"The pasta is herrrre, Mr Rrryohei, Miss Tatlin and Miss Andrrrews," the feline announced the moment he strode into the kitchen, two legs and all. He turned and gestured the cabin boys behind him to stop at the entrance of the kitchens and shoo'd them away before hauling in the trolley into the area. "They'rrre all well-prrreparrred and rrready to serrrve as well, so we can get to the otherrrs quickly enough."
