Well, didn't this feel familiar. It was a good thing Gin knew how to move about the ship unseen, and that most of the crew was still cleaning the spiders out of the engine room, or by now there might have been some remarks about his penchant for visiting Aragaki. Gin didn't mind talk, generally, but he preferred it when it was unconfirmed speculation instead of something that might hold a grain of truth.
In his hands he held a very innocuous looking tray - not entirely unlike the one he'd carried tea on the first time he'd come to visit, but this one had only a covered tray that definitely wasn't hiding any kind of refreshment. Gin had put a little bit of thought into the presentation of it all, though he doubted Aragaki would be amused.
He knocked out of politeness (it never hurt), but then ignored all further courtesy and simply opened the door.
"Aragaki-kun," he greeted boldly. "Are you ready? If not, I could always come back later..."
Shinjiro had probably been counting the minutes. It was terribly unfair to tease him, but Gin still hesitated on the threshold of the door as though he were really prepared to turn right back around.
