Dimo walked through the door, whistling a quick paced tune as he carried in a rather large wooden crate full of bottles of alcohol. Seeing the young lady lounging on the sofa, he inquired, "Zo, vhere does hyu vant dis, sveethot?"

The sound of the door suddenly opening made Akima hop to her feet and she was greatly relieved to see someone bringing a crate of beverages. The man himself was kind of a... strange demi-human, Akima decided, but no matter, she was grateful he got here first.

"Thank goodness you got here before anyone else." She immediately stepped forward to retrieve the crate from him. "I was not looking forward to having to entertain a bunch of rowdy, alcohol-starved pirates. Here," she reached out, "I'll find somewhere to put it where it can't be stumbled upon by someone we don't want to find it."

Dimo shook his head. "Don't vorry about it, dollink," he replied, holding onto the crate himself. "Just show me vhere to put it." He'd taken the strongest stuff out of the box to keep for his own private stock, but there were still a good number of bottles of rum, whiskey, and a few even stranger liquors occupying the box.

"Um..." Akima glanced around the room and spotted a side table that was just wide enough to hide the crate from immediate view. She pointed in that direction. "Over there is fine; under that table." Then, distractedly she added, "thank you!"

Anthy made her way determinedly to the lounge. The truth was, she really didn't want to be social at all, but she knew it was better to get to know the crew as soon as possible. Like ripping off a bandage, it was better to do it quickly and get it over with before she developed a reputation for being reclusive and weird ( ... )

Dimo smiled as Anthy shyly came through the door into the lounge. He hadn't seen her for a day or so, and was glad that she'd shown up. He still felt a bit protective of her, and wanted to see how she was adjusting to life aboard the airship.

"Ah, Anthy! How iz hyu settling in?"

"Dimo!" Anthy exclaimed happily. "I think I'm doing okay. How are you?" She was very glad to see the jager. Yesterday she had been too shell-shocked to really deal with him, or anything else. However, after she had had some time to lay down quietly on her bed and take stock of her situation, she had found herself a little bit lonely, and perhaps even missing him a bit and ruminating jealously over the fact that he could just walk onto a random ship in the middle of some strange town and bump into an old friend. Anthy couldn't begin to imagine what it was like to know so many people that you could do that.

"Oh, hyu know. Renewing old acqvaintances, catching up on de last 40 years vith old friends..." If you wanted to call it that. Dimo had been having a very good couple of days, and was in high spirits from his meeting with Mamma Gkika and his..."fraternization" with Maxim the previous night. And here he was, the only man in a room full of very charming women. This day just couldn't get any better. "I trust hyu iz settling in vell?"

Cimorene stumbled slightly through the door, her arms laden with pies and cookies. "Here I am, here I am," she called to Akima. "I'm sorry, I was trying to get it all down here in one trip. I ended up leaving the mousse in the kitchen anyway." It seemed like quite the accomplishment, for a lady, to bring all off the sweets down without dropping a thing, minue the mousse of course. All those years of hauling chocolate mousse through dragon's caves must have paid off.

After setting her items down on the snack table and arranging them neatly, she turned back to Akima and wiped her hands on her, slight dirty, apron. The silver circlet on her head was slipping off of her head and she scowled, shoving it back in place. "I don't believe we've been formally introduced. I'm Cimorene. One of too cooks..." She trailed off as she caught sight of Anthy. She would have to say hello in a minute.

The door opened again and Akima realized that the person entering must be the cook who'd offered to bring over the goodies. She'd actually just set her journal down on an end table and was about to run off to the kitchen to help but apparently the cook had beaten her to it.

"Oh, geez, here-" Akima rushed forward to help set all the pies and plates and such down before they fell. She gave a genuine smile when they'd finally gotten all of the food settled and held out her hand. "Akima. I'm a helmsman. It's good to know someone can make something other than cabbage stew around here," she joked, eying all of the sugary delights.

Cimorene breathed a sigh of relief as the helmsman ran forward to help relieve her of her burdens. "Thank you so much. I probably should have taken a couple more trips." She sorted the plates and such, still speaking. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Akima. And I know a bit more than cabbage stew! Is that what you were surviving on? I am terribly sorry. I'll try to keep a bit more variety in my menu."

She gave Akima a wide smile. "Thank you for the suggestion to bring my sweets up here. I don't think I even knew that this was going on. I've been neglecting my journal, I'm afraid."

Akima snorted. "I hear ya. With all of the recent bad news floating around the networks I haven't exactly been too eager to stay up to date on things, either. Probably should, though." She grabbed the little box of linen napkins and started folding them.

"Still, glad you and your cooking could make it. I swear I was just about to go down to the kitchen and check on you when you showed up."

Originally Maxim had claimed to not be in the mood for a party. But when he had gotten left all alone in Dimo's quarters to sit and brood with himself he'd finally decided to brave the social atmosphere. He'd just attend for the food and stick to the dark corners.

Being tall and purple Maxim couldn't help but be conspicuous as he entered the room. He simply stood there and glowered, waiting for the magical happy feeling to kick in.

Dimo heard footsteps approaching the lounge, and then the door swinging open. He was fairly certain that he knew who it was by the tread, but to be certain, he glanced over his shoulder. Yes, it was Maxim, looking even more brooding than normal, if such a thing were possible. Dimo turned his attention back to the chocolate mousse and rolled his eyes where Maxim couldn't see him. He didn't entirely understand how Maxim could be in such a funk when the rest of the world was so clearly having a good time. He'd humor him, though.

After serving himself some of the delicious-looking mousse, he beckoned Maxim over. "Hoy, Maxim! Hyu should try dis! Is quite tasty."

Dimo was really the only person in the room that Maxim felt like actually talking to (especially when it concerned the previous night's events) so he casually strode to where his fellow Jäger stood.

"Nize party," he said in an unconvincing tone, raising an eyebrow. "Hyu probably been enjoyink all de time alone vit de vimmen, yah?"

"Vell," Dimo replied, having another spoonful of mousse, "iz more like iz goot to meet more of de pipple in de crew. I certainly don't mind dot dey iz vimmen." He looked Maxim squarely in the eyes. "But iz even better to have hyu here, too."
