After recieving the rather unwelcome notification (honestly, didn't the army have anything better to do than stick their officers on his ship?), von Karma had waited in his office for this... Boss to arrive. He managed to last for about three hours before getting fed up and scouring the ship, as if she was as good as he had been told she wouldn't be keeping him waiting.

Eventually, he managed to happen upon the room she was using.

"You know, you could've checked in like a normal person," he barked, looking exceptionally cross.

She recognized the Admiral immediately, not very tall, but certainly imposing. He was wearing an eyepatch, she'd heard about the accident during the bombing, but he did not seem to have let it affect him. He would probably need some time to get used to having a blindside, but he would have to adapt.

He was in excellent shape for a navy man.

"You received my papers and my orders. I assumed if you wanted to speak to me you would come and find me." She continued to work through a few throws and punches. Actually she had wanted to see what he would do, and she was actually a little surprised he had taken three hours.

"For the sake of organization, you could've at least left me a note on the journals," said von Karma, with the hint of a snarl in his voice. "I don't enjoy being forced to play 'find the Colonel,' nor do I really have the time to wait three hours."

He walked further into the room, arms crossed-although if one looked closely, it was noticable that he was favoring his right arm.

"Navy and Army regulations both allow for twenty-four hours before personally notifying the Captain or First Mate of a new assignment." And, of course, she had relied on that. The Admiral's reputation preceded him and she knew he would be too impatient to talk to her, especially after she'd left her papers for him.

She did notice his favoring his right arm, she wouldn't have been a very good Boss if she didn't. She also noticed some hints of a burn at his collar and wondered how far they went down. He was probably in quite bad shape under his uniform, she was impressed that he was up and around through the pain he was likely in.

She didn't say anything else specifically to taunt him, that wasn't really necessary. He had quickly confirmed that he was very impatient, possibly even hot-headed. It wasn't a surprise but it would make her mission more difficult.

Tatiana stepped into the Victoria II's weight room at the usual time. She made a space in her daily routine for proper exercise, to ensure that she didn't get out of shape; her duties were not very physically demanding, but slacking off was not at all acceptable in her eyes.

She began doing stretches, getting herself warmed up for a good workout.

Finishing off her defeat of von Karma, The Boss headed to the weight room. She didn't usually train with just weights, but she was going to have to get a more extensive physical training regiment into her schedule since she had nothing to do but train and work with whatever screwups the Admiral tried to send her way.

She entered in the exercise room to see a young girl working through some stretches. That sounded like a good idea to her. She took her position on the mat and started to stretch out her legs especially.

Other than nodding in the other woman's direction, The Boss didn't say anything, just stretched.

Tatiana nodded in return as the new woman entered the room. That was all there was to their interaction for the time being.

Tatiana took up a pair of dumbbells (fairly lightly weighted; she didn't want to get into it too quickly) and began lifting them rhythmically, performing simple curls.

She continued that until her arms began to ache from the effort, at which time she set them down for the moment and took a quick break. She grabbed her towel and began toweling off the sweat she had accrued.

She was aware that the other woman was still in the room, and the silence was beginning to become awkward. Deciding to attempt conversation, she cleared her throat and then said: "I haven't seen you before. Are you new to the ship?"

The Boss mostly stretched for the duration of the girl's workout. It was one thing to be strong, it was another thing to be fast but right now she needed to keep her joints limber. She wasn't as young as she used to be and right now her knee was not doing her any favors.

Her exercise companion was obviously dedicated and in good shape. She had to admire the girl's dedication especially considering her job was unlikely to be particularly labor intensive.

"I was assigned here recently by Parliament. Army liaison officer." At least Parliament hadn't done the Admiral the extreme indignity of officially calling her his babysitter. "I'm The Boss."

Really that would have better name recognition than her real name and rank.
