As her duties were finished - for now, at least - Franziska allowed herself a few moments of lax time to properly meet her...co-quartermaster. She frowned sourly. It was foolishly belittling to have to share her office - then again, it was belittling to even be in her current position, and not in first mate where she obviously belonged.

Franziska's fuming was interrupted by the soft click of the door opening and closing. She turned around precisely, steel-filled heels clicking on the wooden floor, and came face-to-face with a masked man - she assumed, for then, that the man was her co-officer.

"Commander Zechs Marquise." It wasn't a question.

"Commander Franziska von Karma." He said. His voice was practically emotionless. Whatever had happened to the man to cause him to lock everything away... Well, it was a mystery, just like the mask.

He remained where he stood, hands now clasped behind his back. His icy eyes, hidden behind the mask, carefully watched the other Quartermaster. Just by her body language, he could tell she was not pleased about his assignment here, or the fact that they where to share an office... Well, his commanding officer, Commander Edgeworth, told him that this was where he was to work.

Franziska nodded, both at her name and Zechs Marquises' bearing. However foolish she found it to hide behind a mask, he did not waver in her presence and seemed, at the very least, competent. It was more than she'd expected, but precisely what she'd hoped for.

"I'd heard you have been recovering from an injury. I assume this will no longer be a problem, insofar as your duties are concerned?" Franziska's voice didn't soften (it never did) but she relaxed her shoulders. Marginally.

Zechs didn't relax. He hardly ever relaxed. But, he did reach up and remove the silver mask, revealing icy blue eyes and long bangs that framed his face, but also masking his eyes.

"My shoulder is fine now. My duties will not be hindered by this." His voice was stern and showed that he didn't take any sort of, well, crap, from anyone.
