Hello, The Sky Tides! The mods would like to thank each and every player we've had for making the game a success! That said, this post is about the future of the game. In the past, people talked about the possibility of a reboot, and recently some other players have mentioned their own continuation. Since it seems that everybody has their own ideas

Unless you took this Reial and sent it several hundred years into the future, I don't think a continuation would go very well, with some characters crucial to another's CR being unable to return because of life, or muse loss, or what have you. A reboot might be better in the long run, honestly. Fresh world, fresh histories, fresh CR. It'll also open it up to newcomers better than a continuation would.

Should a reboot be planned, I'm all for helping get the world set up, but right now I can't actually mod-mod. Maybe be a human FAQ or something but XD;;

It'll need a snappy subtitle, though, so people know it's a whole new ball game.

As for myself, I would happily play in either a reboot or a continuation, though I would vastly prefer a continuation. I'm also volunteering to be a mod for said continuation. I'd like to be able to keep the same CR that I have now, and offer other players the same option, but at the same time not require folks to keep it, so as not to overwhelm new folks.

Just wanted to add, too, that if there's either a reboot or a continuation, I want to stick around either way, and will be happy to help mod either way, and do worldbuilding and stuff like that.

Anyway, yeah. I'm not sure about the modding, only because I'm searching for work and when I find it I'm not sure how much time I'll have.

But hell do I ever want in on the plotting.

I still have a bunch of half-finished ideas for elaborating on the difference engines...

I'm leaning towards spiritual successor or very, very distant sequel (and, as for characters who'd been previously played... we've written them off as IC coincidences before, haven't we?). Direct continuations of CR are better for museboxes and memes.

I also cast my vote for a continuation, maybe taking place on the world below or something, but give people an option to keep their current CR if they want it? Or they could app in completely new- completely up to the individual.

I'll happily help mod that venture, too!

I'd be okay with a reboot, too, but would prefer something picking up where this ends.
