So, Denouement and the Philosophers have let Serenity off the hook, but not before they took one of their own back into the flock. Is Serenity going to take this standing down?

Yeah, this one's no help information-wise, if they were in Ivona, he could probably use his name to help, but it probably means very little in Vohemaro, in fact it, might just make him a target. But he could play the part of bodyguard if anyone needs it...?

Actually, there's some info in Ivona that might be of use to them. What sort of connections does Ryuuki's family have?

His father (deceased) likely still has some allies that are still alive in the military or in politics. His family is also a really old one, with a history in politics and the military and just his last name alone might get them into some places they would not ordinarily be able to get into. Luckily, the family likes to keep family matters private, so it's not likely that Ryuuki's reputation as the unfavoured son would be very widespread, but it would probably be best to not give his first name.

And just how far can his connections get him? There have been some government experiments which, while not directly connected to Kaoru's case, have some similarities, and possibly some of the same people involved.

Dimo, no matter what he himself may think, is about as subtle as a brick to the head. He can sneak and spy fairly decently, but that's about it, and is not terribly disguisable. He'll be happy, however, to help with unsubtle things once they're happening.

This sounds like a job right up Miss Ninja's ally here! (Despite reports to the contrary) Anko can do subtle, espionage, info-gathering, impersonation, and has the know-how and supplies to do all of that too.
