IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT, STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN

Each contestant is also allowed to have one assistant to help them with their cooking. IC, the character may select an assistant before the contest begins, or may pull a spectator from the audience to act as an impromptu assistant. Ideally, this assistant should be a PC, and should be worked out with the respective mun OOC before the contest starts. We apologize for the short notice, but this is the best way to keep threads and interaction going. If you cannot find an assistant, an appropriately annoying NPC will be provided, but we would prefer it if you used a PC wherever possible as this is a good CR opportunity.
The log will run as follows:
Each contestant + assistant will have their own thread for the logging of food preparation. Judges may also jump into these logs at any time to pester the contestants with questions, for a taste of their food, etc. Once the log goes up, you will have one week to play it out. Like the fight threads, backlogging of food preparation is allowed and definitely encouraged, but by the end of the week, you must tag the presentation thread, in which you describe your character's finished product.
This presentation thread will also serve as the thread for voting. The voting is entirely IC. Each judge will give each contestant a score out of ten, and the contestant with the highest score will win. The highest and lowest votes for each contestant will be thrown out to reduce bias.
The log isn't going up just yet, but don't wait until the last minute to find your assistant. Once you've decided, please reply to this post with both your character and your assistant, and whether said assistant was already settled upon IC or will be pulled out of the audience.
