I know I just missed Groundhog day, but it's the same thing every year!

The groundhog always sees his shadow because the mayor always plants theatrical spotlights all around the groundhog hole!

Why am I not surprised they do that in this town?

Groundhogs are a wildly inaccurate predictors of weather, anyway, they're just as fallible as humans. I'd rather trust a meteorologist, or a robot.

Actually, the Marmota monax is of the least concern to be an endangered species. There is a surplus of an estimated 2,000,000 woodchucks spread throughout the Mountainous regions of North America.
