Sims 2 Origins at 2560 X 1080

So I got this amazing new widescreen monitor and am wanting to play my sims 2 ultimate collection. i've already changed my graphics rules, but the game seems to crash when I change my settings. Does anyone know if the game is even stable on this resolution? The game right now is bare except for my saved sims folder, and sigh my custom content

I had this same problem with the sims on my new laptop. When I started messing around with the graphics rule, it made things worse, and when I started putting CC into the game, it wouldn't even load. I found a simple solution. I deleted the groups.cache file that could be found in the sims folder in your my documents. I have to delete it every time I want to load the game. But once its gone I have no trouble. Try doing that and see if it works for you too xx

Yeah I know, most of the problems started when they said they weren't supporting it anymore after the ultimate collection came out. xx
