I can answer the genie one. Patch your game. That was a known bug. Also. TJ made a hack fix. So if the Patch doesn't fix it, there is that.

Thanks for your quick response! My game is all patched so I don't think that could be it. I looked at the TJ hack at the link, but I think my problem is opposite of the one that the hack is addressing. I know the FT bug you're referring to -- the gypsy delivers a lamp every time a Sim calls her. My gypsy works normally if I call her for a date, but any time I force a lamp delivery, she sneaks to the door and disappears. Do you know if the hack by TJ addresses this as well? It didn't say anything about it in the read-me.

Ahh, I see, then likely you may possibly have just a glitch or a hack conflict. Have you pulled all cc to check?

A quick question from me. I'm downloading some patchs, but I don't have a downloads folder, so I just created a new folder. Should I just type "Downloads" or do I have to type it full "Downloads folder". Let me know. Thanks

Can I ask how you got Kaylynn into Strangetown? Or are you using a Megahood?

I had the genie lamp bug too, and I sort of fixed it. Call up a matchmaker, and wait until she arrives on the lot. Then shift-click the mailbox (making sure you have testingcheats enabled, of course), and there's an option in there to force the genie lamp delivery. This should generate a second matchmaker, who will actually deliver it.

However, after I got them to deliver it, I couldn't get them to stop. Every matchmaker I called over would leave me a genie lamp. This I fixed by calling one, waiting for her to show up, and immediately calling another.

I think I got a naturally delivered genie lamp once, so maybe I still have the glitch, but the matchmakers don't arrive by sneakywalk all the time anymore. I don't really care anymore, to be honest, because I never found the genie all that useful.
