Weird pet issue

So, one of my sim family's dogs has run away, which actually seems to happen all the time since the dogs all hate each other. Vandy, the dog in question, is an elder with what looks like no time left on her lifespan. She had run away before, and then when she was returned, glitched so that her icon still shows her as Ran Away, even though she was

Actually, never mind, I played for ten more minutes and her tombstone just appeared on the lot out of nowhere. Problem solved.
