Sim Morals? Or Just a Glitch?

I posted this on my prosperity challenge group but I thought I'd share it here, too.

Do Sims have morals? )

Wait ... prosperity challenge group? There is more than one LJ person doing the prosperity challenge? I have just begun to dabble in it, I did not know it was so popular!

And yes, sims certainly seem to have a will of their own. Mysterious little creatures!

The group isn't on LJ, it's on yahoo but yeah, there's a pretty good sized group over there.

Yahoo Prosperity Challenge Group.

You should join us! I don't see it mentioned too often here on LJ though. Too bad because it's really fun! I tried a Legacy once and grew so incredibly bored with just one family. I like mixing it up and seeing a neighborhood grow.

almost sounds like the romance mod from maty, are you sure you don't have that?

I don't recall ever downloading it but that's not saying much since I'm a download junkie, especially with MATY. I used to long ago have a no jealousy hack but got rid of it because I like a little drama now and again and I do remember looking at a romance mod but didn't want to install it until I understood it better. I don't think I ever went back to read about it but who knows? Maybe I did install it anyway and just forgot about it. :)

If I do have it, I'm keeping it because I think it's hilarious!

I just checked my MATY hack folder, and sure enough, I've got the romance mod (I seem to recall Two Jeffs had one, too, didn't he? Is this the same one because I have this filed under Pescado...). Suddenly that explains SO MUCH. LOL Crazy how I do not remember downloading this at all. But I love it and I only vaguely know what it does. :D

I had an engaged family sim who was in *love* with another sim, both playables. I loaded the homewrecker lot, invited Mr. Engaged and tried for a makeout with zero luck. I don't know, they would do other simple kiss and flirt interactions but nothing hot and heavy. Both good relationship scores, moods were platinum...I don't know :/ Hopefully someone else can shine a better light on this because it confuses me.

My issue definitely seems to be that I have the romance mod from MATY. I have no recollection of downloading it but I've decided it's pure awesome and am keeping it. :)

Any chance you have something like this as well?

At the time this happened I'm not sure if I had any hacks downloaded. Are you talking about ACR? Because that's the only one that could have been installed at the time.

No, the romance mod itself is what I have. ACR is something else which I need to go look into pronto. *g*

Sometimes I think they know a lot more about what's going on than we give them credit for. Before I had ACR and the romance mod, a married sim brought up their affair while on a date with his boyfriend.

But after I installed the hacks/mods, a guy accepted a makeout from a friend of his fiance's (a girl he had just met), and waited until *after* his fiance was pissed at him to start refusing the new girl ("Back off, Lady! For I am engaged and my sweet Angie is the only one for me. Even though my tongue was down your throat 10 minutes ago!"). O_o

LOL That's hilarious! It's like he was all fine with it until he got caught. Typical male. *g*

I think ACR is the one by Two Jeffs, correct? And romance mod is JMP? What exactly are the differences?

The weird thing was, his fiance brought the girl over! I don't know what he was thinking!

You are correct. ACR lets them handle romantic interactions on their own, and the romance mod is meant to work with the ACR hack. The romance mod keeps sims from falling in love "so easily" (I had a sim woo hoo 3 different guys (via ACR), reach 100/100 with them, and still failed to fall in love).

Ahh, ok, thanks. I've noticed a couple of times lately that even before they are officially in love (though their bottom relationship score which I forget it's name is over 75 but still no red heart), I get the option to woohoo. It only happens to random sims and other I don't get it until the red heart appears.

I don't have ACR though (I just double checked because honestly, I don't know half of what I do have *g*). Is this a feature of the romance mod, do you know?
