Still very weak and having to take things slowly and patiently, but I think I'm beginning to improve now. The hot/cold spells haven't hit me yet today, which is a major sign of improvement. But Aunt Flo abruptly stopped sometime yesterday after only one day of having at it, and that bothers me quite a lot...that's never happened before. Bah. I ( Read more... )

It's 12 degrees Fahrenheit here, and last night it was 3 when I went to bed, so it could have gone lower in the meantime :). Tonight it's supposed to be 1 degree. We didn't get that big storm that hit Michigan, though. I guess they must have gotten the lake effect. That's all fine with me, though, because we've already got more than a half foot of snow on the ground.

Wow O_O It's gunna be down to 12*F here tonight...Virginia doesn't usually get this cold, and of course everyone around here is going WTF IT'S NOT 50 DEGREES OUT AAAHHH WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, even on the news they're freaking out.

Ugh at lake effect snow...

And wow, are you guys supposed to get any more? I think it's amusing that they've issued winter storm warnings throughout West Virginia for 1-3 inches of snow expected. I'd understand if it was including ice, but it's not.

No more snow any time really soon, but this is after we had a couple of weeks where we had snow almost daily. This occurred before and after Christmas, and actually, I think that we stopped having snow within the last couple of days. If some of the snow hadn't melted with freezing rain, we'd have well over a foot on the ground, probably. It appears that we will be going into our January thaw shortly, as temperatures will be in the 40s with rain soon.

Coincidentally, a couple of posts down from your post on my friends list was the LiveJournal RSS feed from Neil Gaiman talking about how cold it is. He lives in Minnesota, which does get colder than here, but not by a great deal most of the time (like right now, the difference between here and Minneapolis is three degrees). He didn't speak in degrees, but in that it's so cold there that the ink froze in his ink reservoir and it took a half hour of thawing on the radiator to make it usable.

Wow O_O Now that is cold...folks around here should think of how it is up there than worry about 2 days of it being bitter cold and windy down here...yikes.

Who has said stuff about the CF? I think its awesome, I hate peole who lurk and don't give it a chance (Snap *roll*) when really, we are only out to help everyone.

Nobody in particular, but ya know how folks are about the CF, especially when they've never even visited it...("zomgggg they're so meeeeen and horrible and do nothing but be meeeeeeen and horribleeeee")...they just need to give it a chance.
