Near death experiences. Spiritual, or scientifically explainable?

I heard something like that on the radio the other day. An add that seemed to me to be for something that would explain near death experiences in a scientific way. Who knows what spin they'd actually put on it. But they did have at least one person with a nice spiritual type experience of 'coming back from death
