Did anybody else check out that weird smoke the other day? That was some fierce smelling stuff, worse than a certain incident my freshman year involving sulfuric acid and a homemade smoke bomb, but I had to try and check it out. I haven't learned much about it yet, though, especially since I don't have much of a lab to speak of these days. Haven ( Read more... )

Fine, I think. Probably. I think I'm fine. Probably fine. ....in a bit, anyway.

But I don't think tiny Newton likes me very much.

You've seen tiny physicists too?

[kinda concerned but also trying to decide whether or not it is inappropriate to laugh, esp. regarding the tiny Isaac Newton.]

Uh...Bill? You okay? ...I think you should probably try to avoid inhaling the smoke if you're going to study it. Last I checked, we don't have an Isaac Newton here, and certainly not a tiny one.

Well I don't have fume hood here so I just... opened a window.

There should be an Isaac Newton here. The tiny one won't answer any of my questions and he just keeps... glaring.

Oh, yes, that smoke. I've been meaning to have a look into that, but, like you, I haven't quite managed to scrape together the proper equipment that I'd need to really learn anything concrete about it, but--

...Isaac Newton?

Well, I suppose we've established that this smoke is a hallucinogenic, then! That saves the both of us some research, yeah? Unless, of course, you really do see some sort of miniature being that resembles a seventeenth century physicist, in which case, I really think I'm going to have to come over there and have a look for myself, because that's brilliant.

Er...you're all right, though. Aren't you?

Add nauseating and dizzying to the list, and I think my pinky might have swollen up...

m'Okay though! Just need a nap... or five. I put a bucket over tiny Newton so he'd quit staring at me. Disapprovingly.
