The more I think about it, the more I realize CoE was very DW-esque, in both its storytelling and the lack of anything explicit (hell, there wasn't even much innuendo!). This makes me sad - the whole point of the show, originally, was supposed to be DW for adults, with sex and violence, but first they had to soften it for BBC2, and then again for BBC1. I think that's a really unfair compromise for them to have to make :(

I can really empathize. I realized today that there are two types of Torchwood fans. The ones having trouble and a far outnumbered minority of people that are not.
I was told in a comment that I could not be conversed with because I was one of those "Ianto makes the fandom" people. I thought about a response, but I haven't sent it yet because I'm not sure how to say that I grieved properly for Tosh, but Ianto's death was different. It was crude and wasteful.
