Nothing much to report right now. Working on Part Two of Kiss Today Goodbye and cursing halfspell for giving me yet another idea for an alternate ending to CoE. If anyone's wondering -- yes, I am keeping my DVDs when they come from Barnes & Noble. I will rewatch it when it runs on BBCA and I will re-watch it with rose_whispers as well ( Read more... )

Well, to be fair, I think Half-Blood Prince was a pretty bad title for the book to begin with.

Better titles include:

Harry Potter and the Inumerable Pensieve Scenes
Harry Potter and His Burgeoning Sexuality
Harry Potter and the Monster in His Chest
Harry Potter and the Really? You Were Surprised When Dumbledore Bit It?
Harry Potter and the Dialogue Which Contains Slightly Less Capslock
Harry Potter and the Draco Malfoy Subtext
Harry Potter and Ginny Whosley?
Harry Potter and the King
Harry Potter and the Many Sexual Advances of Horace Slughorn

...I could go on, but I suspect you already want to stab me a little.

Harry Potter and the Many Sexual Advances of Horace Slughorn

I want to stab you only because I nearly spit out my orange soda and vodka at that one.

Dude, I don't remember if the book was like this, but I was really uncomfortable every time Harry and Slughorn were alone in the film.

And my eye's is peeled for an email, oh mod of summersmut! *salutes*

Yeah, an explanation of, you know, the title might have been nice. Also what was with the leaving out the last battle? Y'know? Where the people fought and stuff? That drove me crazy. Instead the Death Eaters sort of waltz in, are noticed by Harry, Draco, Snape, and Malfoy, and leave. And the school kind of looks on in horror, but NO ONE APPARENTLY DOES ANYTHING.

Eliding the whole Tonks/Remus thing down to two sentences, sure. Destroying the Burrow for no known reason? No.

Given -- I enjoyed the movie as well. No, really. I thought it was a pretty good movie.

But if I know any damn thing about Hermione (*SNORT*), she would NOT have gone after Lavender in front of TEACHERS OMG.
