It's hard to completely quit with my mother on staff and my dad volunteering as the prop master. So... yeah. I know I'm not playing for this show. I can guarantee that!
*hugs* I'm sorry about the casting. Having spent four years in a drama club where I was only occasionally given one-liner parts but mostly looked over, I know what you're going through.
On the other hand, I still did crew on the shows I wasn't cast in and had a lot of fun. I think you're justified in not wanting to play in the pit, but it could still be a good time.
I do enjoy playing in the pit, I just can't give them the satisfaction of never casting me because they need me in the pit more and just assuming that I'll always be in the pit.
