Do you find the intro to Beck's new "Broken Drum" similar to Broken Social Scene's "Lover's Spit"? Beck often samples other artist's work, but the beats are accredited only to Beck.

I was about to write a post about how lately I'm without much to say. Few opinions I'm burning to share, few topics I want to read about further and then actively pick an argument.

Then I realized that I was just nominated and accepted to the executive committee of the Laurier Toastmasters.

I'm going to have to find something to say - and

Still working on the last of the essays. Kachoo's been sitting on my desk faithfully for this barrage of essays. He just chills until I go to the bathroom, at which point he swats the bathroom door to remind me to refill the food bowl.

He also systematically ruins my computer paper.

It was irresponsible of me to stay out late tonight, but sleep wasn't much of an option. I can't sleep. I was so exhausted from going to the early service this morning (oh boy is it hard to muster energy for 8:45 after going out the previous night) combined with work that I slept for three hours.
