also, out of curiosity, why'd you decide to put them in this order, rather than chronological?

Because I wrote them in this order? idk. It's not two scenes of the same story, it's two different versions of the same scene. I'd originally thought about having them hook up twice, once before Bob joined the band and once again after, but I couldn't make the after work to my liking so I just cut it down to the before and then expanded on that scene from its original six lines.

ooooh, that explains it! i like them, anyway, even if they don't fit the story - they work as sketches of mikey and bob and how they work as friends.

I changed the formatting of this a bit to make it more clear, thanks for saying something!

I've never really been that into Bob/Mikey as a pairing but there was something about writing these, especially the first one, that really made me kind of ship them just a little bit.

Uh, I might have read this, like, three times already.

Well you know I'm a sucker for a happy ending, so I want to say I like the first one more, but ugh, the second one just packs a total wallop, you know? ANGST VS SCHMOOP!? How to choose. But, awesome, I didn't have to.

i'm glad you liked the second one, too. i was pretty sure i wouldn't be able to use it because it's too intense, but once the idea occurred to me i couldn't get rid of it until i wrote it, you know? plus i am always in favour of any story about how fucked up shit got in the paramour.
