I love the contrast between Mikey's encounters with the guys, and how the two sentences about Otter speak worlds, and the conversation between Mikey and Gerard (brilliant!) and how this is a character study more than anything else. Amazing! ♥

Everything about this is awesome. The sex is written really hot, and everyone's interactions just come across really naturally. Plus, Mikey fucking with Gerard is just hilarious!

This is really great, I love your writing style and how you make Mikey's feelings come across in her actions as opposed to through words, it really makes this story pack a punch. Even with the guys, the littlest detail of their behavior speaks volumes about them and it's really interesting to read.

I love how utterly upfront Girl!Mikey is, and that's what makes it feel like guy!Mikey, I think. It can be a hard line to tread, I think, because this really does feel like it's about Mikey, and not the gender. And that's...I love that.

Thank you! Originally the part wit Gerard was going to be set in like 2007, but once I realized I needed to bump it back I was like HO SHIT LET'S DRAG PETE INTO THIS TOO! because really, how could I not?

And then I spent a lot of time thinking about how Summer of Like would have been so different if it were girl!Mikey, because the whole dynamic would be incredibly different. It's been fun to think about.
