Wear comfortable shoes, bring something with sugar in it and some water with you, something to put photos and autographed stuff into ... :)

I definitely second the comfortable shoes, sugar, water and DEFINITELY something to carry your autographs in. You do get a convention booklet --but don't bank on definitely getting it at the beginning of the con!! You're not always guaranteed your photos in time for the autograph session either, so do take an autograph book as back-up just in case

See, I didn't even know there *was* a vendor's room - I'll definitely be budgeting for that, will try to get at least a keyring (I collect keyrings)

Coffee lounge will probably depend on how money is going but I'd love to do one - I think Jason Manns sometimes does one, yeah? That'd be awesome.

comfy shoes, folder for photos, back-up autograph thing (the copper-art notepads Addy mentioned are beautiful and a few people use 'em as auto books).

Also, cash. It's a cash-only event mostly, so if you want to buy extra photo ops/coffee lounge tickets/whatever, you'll need folding money.

And, in the photo studios, if you want a hug, don't be scared to ask for one - the guests usually go for it (it gives them a break from the routine as well)

And don't expect things to run on time. As soon as you walk into that place, you're on convention time. *grins*

there's a cash machine in the lobby and the airport's close enough if you run out, but my first con I was *really* surprised by the cash-only thing!

Don't worry about it at all! Everyone can only do what they can and I've got exams etc at the moment so I understand - when's your last exam?

Like all the others above: comfy shoes!!!! That´s essential!
And since it´s a Rogue Events Con (like the one I go in 2 days) it´s very likely that it´s a little unorganised (and delayed LOL) - so put make up in your bag, you might have to leave a panel to get in line for your photo op with no time to go to your room.
Little bottles of water/juice and some snacks aren´t wrong either.

And a word of advice: RE-staff is very strict when it comes to videotaping a panel. Don´t let yourself get caught! ;)

Oh and if you have the chance and the money: buy a coffee lounge!!! It´s the best thing ever! *nods*

Other than that..try not to get stressed too much, enjoy your time and try to remember as much as possible!! (I swear, I´ve forgotten half of what´s been said last year..LOL)

I've forgotten so much of what was said last year, too. :/

I'm pretty sure we've run into each other either last year at AE2 or the year before. Either with purequicksilver, tinkabell007 or angels_cordy.
