First rehearsal tonight!

The first rehearsal for my piece with the junior company is tonight!! So excited!! I've got all my plans made and everything figured out for how I will teach the first section. I've spent so much time watching different people's rehearsals and how they run them - my director Deb, junior company director Steph, Sarah doing her choreography

So cool, Shauna - hope the dance rehearsal experience goes really well tonight. I can't speak much from the experience of a dancer, although I've watched dance rehearsals and I guess participated in some minor ones for musicals and such (which isn't the same thing at all). I think of being in orchestras and choirs, and occasionally leading rehearsals, and while that is different I also am aware of differences in conducting and leading those groups. Especially all of the years I accompanied - the differences in conducting and leading groups really matters.

Getting older really is interesting, isn't it? Some of it is really good, I think, as we often get more understanding of ourselves, and better comfort/confidence with ourselves and the world. So glad you are experiencing positive things.

Hugs honey. Excited to get to see your first choreographic debut in May.
Living longer means seeing more, it is true. This works for the good in most cases. Occasionally one sees things one wishes one could forget permanently, and can't. But overall...experience and hopefully wisdom come, and keep coming.
