We had a good Independence Day weekend, spent "up north" in St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. With sunny skies and mid-70s for temperatures, we couldn't have asked for better weather. I finally figured out the effects buss on my synth workstation. The biggest impediment to my programming has been overcome.

Quite a cathartic evening: first, I watched The History Boys, which, while uneven in some parts, was actually a decent film, then spent seven hours with an ex-band of mine being that annoying guy hanging out in the corner saying, "No, you should be playing this...", but nobody seemed to take offense. Ahh.... The semester is finally over, and I think I have grades of nearly 100% in my classes. I'm off 'til next Wednesday, so look for some relaxation over the weekend (though I imagine I'll tie a bit of one on at Blair & Laura's place tomorrow...).
