I see a reminder of the secret that when supported, life will grow - one person is giving home to the plant and the bird - regardless of the circumstances around...

It looks to me that the grey figures are turned away from this scene so the person is supproting other life in a way they're not getting from the people around.

Knowing I've seen this grow over time gives me a warm fuzzy inside...

I find that my sense of composition is changing, and I am pleased with it.

There can be detail and complexity in the simplest of images, I think...it really depends on the artist's ability to manipulate line, color, light, and shadow.
