A Peek into my KitchenStudio: Teastaining Paintings

Some people here and there have inquired about my techniques... Yes there is a method to my madness, at least in terms of art making.

A technique I've used pretty often with watercolor/gouache paintings is teastaining. I like the color that tea gives, as well as the appearance of texture. I took some photos today as I worked:

Thanks! I may just do a series of posts on this one, as I work on it.

I think I'm developing a fascination with the imagery of old keys. I might just run with it.

That is fascinating. It reminded me of when I was in elementary school and our art teacher let us soak paper in coffee and let it dry to make it look like an old letter.

Please continue to show the progress. I can't wait to see the finished product.
