“Satoshi?”
Nino called when the man dozed off in his seat, his lap used as Nino’s private pillow. Satoshi’s master was resting his head on his lap, his eyes concentrating on the DS.
“Hai?” Satoshi replied vaguely, his voice thick with sleep. Nino paused his game and looked up at Satoshi, a smirk tugging at his face.
“Isn’t it boring to stay home the whole day like this?”
“Yeah,” Satoshi chuckled, his eyes opened a little to see his master staring at him, his DS lay forgotten on the sofa. “But you don’t let me work anymore…”
“Not that kind of job, I told you…” Mentioning about Satoshi’s former job still annoyed Nino somehow, so Satoshi tried his best not to talk about it. “It’s stupid, I don’t want you working at that kind of place!! And thinking about what the other men could do to you, do you think I can handle it? Didn’t I tell you that…”
“Hai, hai, hai,” Satoshi smiled sheepishly, and his hand moved to stroke Nino’s hair coaxingly. He leaned down to kiss Nino’s forehead gently, and succeeded in making his master blush. Nino was still trying to keep his tone cool though, but the faintest pink on his cheeks betrayed him.
“You always know how to shut me up,” Nino grunted, but he was undeniably happy when a grin appeared on his face. “Anyway, do you feel bored staying at home all day like this?”
“Well…” Satoshi answered thoughtfully, “tt’s not really that boring. Though I want to go somewhere else, but if Nino doesn’t want to then I would rather stay at home…”
“You know,” Nino started, his voice casual, “I’m thinking about Aiba’s suggestion. That idiot has just called me this morning and talked non-stop about you having a tutor, and he insisted that it would be good for the both of us.”
“A tutor?” Satoshi repeated, looking totally confused. “What do you mean, a tutor?”
“Yes, that was what he told me,” Nino frowned a little. “And no, I don’t know what it is either. But, if you want to, should we give it a try?”
“Do you want me to?” Satoshi looked uncertain, his long fingers caressing Nino’s hair subconsciously. “If you want me to, then I’m OK with it.”
“Do you want to?” Nino asked, his voice firm and determined. Satoshi looked sheepishly at Nino, who demanded him to have his own idea. It was what Nino did these days: Satoshi’s life is owned by the man himself, and not Nino ;).
“I do,” Satoshi smiled softly, and with that, Nino gave him a satisfied smile.
“Then, tomorrow we’ll go to that idiot’s shop together,” Nino decided and took his DS back, resuming his game. Satoshi, already bored from just looking at Nino for hours, started to tickle Nino’s belly playfully. Nino laughed and tried to squirm out of Satoshi’s hold, but it was hard since Satoshi had both his hands holding tightly onto Nino. Satoshi grinned and pushed Nino down on their sofa and rolled until he was lying on top of his master, his smile widened when Nino looked up at him with questioning eyes and a slightly scared expression.
“What is it?” Nino asked uncertainly, his voice weak as a breath.
“Thank you,” Satoshi whispered and leaned in. He could see Nino closing his eyes before his lips met his master’s, just as gently as the first time they kissed each other.
“This is not a common way to say thank you,” Nino commented when they parted. They both burst out laughing until Nino gathered enough strength to push Satoshi down and sat up.
“Tomorrow,” Nino repeated, and Satoshi nodded, taking Nino’s hand in his with a smile. And when Nino squeezed his hand, he was only too happy to lift Nino off the ground and carried him to the bed. It wasn’t like the first time when Nino had kicked and struggled to get out, now his master only buried his face to the crook of Satoshi’s neck and giggled.
“You smell good.”
Satoshi could only grin.
---------------------------------
“Nino-chan! Satoshi-chan!!!” Aiba’s loud and cheerful voice could be heard immediately when they stepped into the shop. Its owner was still being hidden behind tons of stuff and they caught no sight of him, until Aiba rose from behind the mountains of boxes and grinned at them.
“Since when did I become ‘Nino-chan’?” Nino arched his eyebrows defensively, and Aiba either really didn’t notice or was ignoring Nino’s annoyance as he patted Nino’s shoulder affectionately, as if they had been friends for years already.
“Come on!” Aiba said, his hand reaching for Satoshi’s and he tugged the other man to enter further into the shop “Listen, it’s not like I offer this rare opportunity to all of my customers, you know…”
“What do you mean?” Satoshi asked uncertainly, as he glanced at his master, who was apparently glancing at their linked hands. Just as Satoshi was about to withdraw his hand, he felt the firm grip of Nino’s on his wrist and he was suddenly tugged back by a slightly angry Nino.
“I’m not going to do anything bad!!!” Aiba defended, but despite his protest he was still grinning as they approached a room, whose door was hidden perfectly behind the counter and Satoshi had never noticed it since the first time he came here.
“Come on,” Aiba said again and entered the room. Satoshi followed him, with Nino still holding onto his arm.
“Nino-chan, Satoshi-chan, I want you to meet someone…” Aiba grinned as he switched on the light and they saw a statue - not really a statue, but it looked like Satoshi when he hadn’t been started up yet. Satoshi stared at him, feeling the familiarity dwell inside him when he saw the man’s closed eyes.
“Don’t tell me…” Nino gasped, and Aiba grinned amusingly.
“Yes!! This is Satoshi’s tutor!!!” He exclaimed, and earned a smack on his head from Nino. It still amazed Satoshi of how well his master and Aiba get along, though Nino was always trying to prove otherwise.
“Are you kidding with me?? He hasn’t even been started up yet!” Nino snapped and was about to tug Satoshi out when the robot opened his eyes slowly and smiled politely at them. Nino’s mouth hung open at the sight of the robot slowly coming to life and just a minute later he looked totally like Satoshi, his cheeks glowing and his eyes lively.
“Nino-chan, Satoshi-chan, this is Sho-chan!!!” Aiba informed happily, his hand coming to pat Nino’s shoulder. “Sho-chan, Nino, Satoshi!”
“I know,” The robot - Sho, answered with a low voice and a kind smile. “You told me countless times before…”
“Wait…!” Nino gaped. It was really weird, because he didn’t see Aiba push any button on Sho. In fact, Aiba hadn’t even come close to Sho. How the hell could the robot come back to life? “How… how could you do that?”
“Do what?” Aiba looked confused for a moment, then as if he remembered something, he laughed “Nino-chan, because it’s Sho-chan!!!”
“What do you mean?” Nino asked.
“I can turn myself off to save energy and turn on when I feel Aiba-san nearby,” Sho answered with a complacent smile. “I’m eco-friendly.”
“Huh? But I’ve never seen Satoshi do that…” Nino asked as his eyes darted to Satoshi, who looked confused too.
“Because it’s only Sho-chan who can do it!” Aiba exclaimed happily. “I have a special software for Sho-chan so he could do various things and has various knowledge in various fields!!”
“Why didn’t you put that into Satoshi, too?” Nino arched his eyebrows.
“Well, it’s not good to have too much information on your mind…” Sho started and Aiba giggled.
“Yes, because, I must admit that some of those software don’t work well together, so sometimes Sho-chan acts weird…”
“It’s not my fault!!” Sho’s cheeks flushed as Aiba continued.
“… and sometimes he fails too…”
“Masaki!!!!” Sho groaned helplessly. It was strange for a robot to call his master by his first name, Satoshi remarked in his mind, but because it was Aiba, maybe it was not that odd, though. Nino smirked when Sho tried to stop Aiba from giggling hysterically. He enclosed his hand around Satoshi, who took it immediately. Satoshi looked a little worried, and Nino took the chance when those two were too busy goofing around with each other as he turned to Satoshi and asked softly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Would you prefer a robot like that?” Satoshi asked, and he looked so sad that Nino couldn’t help but felt the need to protect this man. Well, not really a man, though.
“Why? Are you jealous?” Nino teased.
“If you prefer Sho-chan, then I can ask Aiba-san to give you another…”Satoshi started, but the look in Nino’s eyes had suddenly turned stern and startled Satoshi.
“Are you serious?” Nino asked quietly. Satoshi stared at him, speechless.
“Do you really want to?” Nino asked again, demanding, and maybe there was hurt in his tone. Satoshi bit his lips and looked down, then shook his head quietly.
“Good, because I don’t want to either,” Nino let out a relieved sigh as he leaned towards Satoshi, and enveloped the other man in his embrace. “I want only Satoshi to be mine.”
Warmth spread through Satoshi’s body and he smiled, hugging Nino back in his arms.
“We’re not going to change another robot for you, you know,” Aiba interrupted with a idiotic grin and beside him, Sho was mumbling something about being polite and just let them be and why are you interrupting them anyway?
“We’re not going to ask for that!” Nino snapped. “Satoshi’s mine and there’s no way I’d change him for anyone else!”
“I remember you said otherwise the first time you came back here.” Aiba said playfully, and earned himself another smack from Nino.
“I changed my mind!” He exclaimed. Aiba just giggled gleefully as he had always known Nino would change his mind, sooner or later.
“Well, well, about the tutor,” Aiba returned to the main point with a wink. “Since I haven’t put that many programs in Satoshi - because I thought it’s better for him if you just teach him from the beginning, I think I have to take the responsibility for Satoshi’s lack of knowledge!”
“Of course you have to,” Nino rolled his eyes in disbelief. “It’s all your fault!”
“Hey! I’m going to fix this! And my Sho-chan will do that work for you - Satoshi will come here everyday when you have work, and go home when you return. In that period of time Sho-chan will teach Satoshi all he needs to know!”
“Not the weird things, I tell you,” Nino warned, but looking at the smug smile on Aiba’s face, he couldn’t help but feel insecure from the other man’s words.
“There are many things to teach you,” Sho said softly after Aiba had done talking. Nino looked at Sho skeptically, but unlike Aiba, Sho gave Nino the feeling that he was reliable and would carry out his duties well. So when Satoshi turned to him to ask for permission, Nino nodded bracingly.
“I’ll do it,” Satoshi said finally, a smile appeared on his face. “Sho-chan, yoroshiku onegaishimasu!”
“Yoroshiku,” Sho beamed, and he extended his hand for Satoshi. They shook hands. The aura was better than Nino thought. Though he knew he was a little jealous to let his Satoshi spend time with another person rather than him, but because Sho was also a robot, he hoped nothing would happen between them.
And of course, he believed that Sho would teach his Satoshi important things.
So when Satoshi returned home few days later and immediately snuggled close to Nino and started to kiss him on random places - on his cheeks and his nose, then trailed down to his neck, Nino couldn’t help but squealed like a girl.
“What the hell did that man teach you, Satoshi???”
“No, it’s not his idea, it’s mine…” Satoshi started, but Nino knew better than that.
“And saying it’s your idea is also his idea, right??” Nino grumbled, but he didn’t push Satoshi away. To be honest, it felt good somehow, having Satoshi all over him after a whole day of not seeing him. And Satoshi took it as an okay as his hand started to move down, tracing Nino’s chest while he kissed his master on his lips carefully.
But it was too much, Nino decided when Satoshi went further down his lower body and finally he gathered all his strength and pushed Satoshi off him.
“Let’s stop here,” Nino decided before wrapping his arms around Satoshi’s waist like they usual did before sleeping. His mind was still dizzy with Satoshi’s sudden action, and his heart was beating so fast that he thought Satoshi could hear it clearly. He gave his robot a warning stare. “I’m tired.”
“Then let’s sleep,” Satoshi just smiled gently as he rubbed Nino’s back soothingly and pulled his master into his arms.
And Nino buried his face onto Satoshi’s chest, feeling all warm and fluffy inside and closed his eyes. Sleep claimed him in no time, with Satoshi’s hands around him and his even breaths warming his own cheeks.
It was strange when Nino returned home one evening and Satoshi was nowhere to be seen. Because Satoshi always made sure that he would reach home before his master, so when Nino stepped into the house and he couldn’t see Satoshi, he started to worry.
His worry stopped though, when Satoshi entered the apartment with a smirk on his face.
“What’s with that face?” Nino asked skeptically, though he still came and hugged Satoshi tightly.
“Kazu…” Satoshi whispered into Nino’s ear as soon as Nino was hugging him. A shiver ran down Nino’s spin and ended up at his stomach, a burning feeling like fire was spreading from his chest onto his face, and it was impossible for his heart to beat its normal rhythm.
“What?” Nino gulped when Satoshi’s hand traced down his back “Satoshi, what did Sho teach you today, really?”
“How to get closer to your master, actually…” Satoshi chuckled and gave Nino a big hug. “But… I love calling you like that…”
“Well,” Nino sighed into Satoshi’s neck “It’s not that bad, actually…”
“So could I?” Satoshi’s eyes lit up, and Nino swore that Sho had something to do with his Satsohi’s brave attitude. He cursed inwardly to himself. He would teach Sho a lesson as soon as he met him again.
“Well…” Nino contemplated and then gave up when Satoshi used his puppy eyes-stare on him “Okay, but just when there’s only the two of us. Call me Nino when there’s anyone else.”
“Hai~!” Satoshi grinned as he repeated again “Kazu~!!” And he gave Nino a tight hug that Nino felt like his ribs were going to break.
But he wasn’t going to complain, really.
And he made a note in his mind to ask Sho just how long he was going to tutor Satoshi. Because if Satoshi pushed things any further than this, Nino didn’t think he would have the heart to reject the other man over and over again.
Well, maybe part of his heart wanted something to happen, too.
