That is an incredible illustration! I hadn't heard of Anton Pieck before, so thank you for that! I am always so impressed with artists who can build an entire world in one drawing, with so much going on in every square inch of it! Really lovely!

Anton Pieck is a huge name in the Netherlands (at least, was among my generation and older) and fairly well-known in Belgium. No surprise he's unknown to you, but I really love his work. He was an amazing world-builder.

Anton Pieck illustrated many fairy tales, and there is a theme park in the Netherlands that is built based on his drawings.
here is a link, if you're interested. For a long time, this was the only theme park. Went there when I was six, and several times after, and it was totally magical.
