What an epic! Glad to hear that the kitten got a sister and good caretaker. Sad to hear that Alex went missing - have you or silkensteel tried going to the pound? I lost a cat once (well, it was taken from us, actually, by a very bad neighbor) and when I called, they said they didn't have a cat matching that description, but when my hubby went there, he was in fact there. Receptionists must be blind or something.
Yeah, that's the same story we've heard from several people, including the pound itself. I wonder if they even really check? The real owners went down there to check, and didn't find anything. I assume they're going to keep trying, but I haven't heard anything since the first time.
