i thought i found it rather odd that they made Sauniere appear not to be Sophie's biological grandfather after all, or maybe that was just me.=) and Sophie's brother, he was older in the movie yet he was actually younger than her when they had the accident in the book. but i still enjoyed it. apart from the fact that i now wanted to visit France more than anything else. haha!
Yeah, I know, but since it was just a suggestion Langdon made and no one confirmed or not, to me it's still Sauniere. Plus, her grandmother did say she was going to tell her about her family - at least according to what Sophie told Langdon! :)
What really REALLY got me hooked up in the book and made me love it was the historical background of it - I mean, all Dan Brown books have the same - and quite simple - formula: a intelectual genius who we usually fall in love with before finding out he is the vilain, and who uses a somewhat marked man to do his dirty work, and Langdon (or that girl from Digital Fortress) discovering it all up
( ... )
Sophie Marceau was the first one considered for the role, wasn't she? But I think that, with Tom Hanks as Langdon, Audrey was a better match for him. *sigh* Well, Dennis Quaid will always be Langdon for me! ;)
