Quickfire differs from regular for me inasmuch as it's just a "write and get all the shit knocked loose before you really go for it".
...which is how I ended up writing pulp, of all things, this week. That's a first for me.
This week has been kind of odd all over, though-for the first time in God knows how long, when I looked at the topic I drew an immediate and direct connection between it and what I'm going to write about. So that's...nice?
(It's a piece that has been rattling around in my head for a while-something I have been thinking about writing since last February-and...yeah.)
I did a huge project on Franklin back in grad school and not once did I ever run across this quote. But the abstract to which I linked, I think, is an interesting theory on the quote.
