HO.LEE.COW.

What craziness to come back to. Will read and comment but I have been home for all of 15 minutes and am off to band.

(Feeling pretty guilty, though...)

I think I'd be more OK with this if I weren't competing against lrig_rorrim and halfshellvenus-they're both friends of mine. :P

That was my feeling, too. Me vs. two friends who are also two of my favorite writers. :(

There's no good outcome for that, only a "least bad" one from each of our perspectives. :(

Yeah... yeah... I looked at the poll even before Gary posted the results and intoned "this won't end well." It, uh, didn't.

To a fair degree, this excites me as much as the main contest. It's a power struggle between three mega beasts! It's like waking up in the morning in a high rise apartment (a far away, mostly safe apartment) to watch multiple Godzillas waging war! We've been predicting that there would be a struggle between these forces for quite some time, but it's surprising to see it happen before the last weeks of the competition.

If one of you scores quickfire immunity, then the stakes become considerably higher with a 1vs1 situation. My question would be whether any of the redemption tribe is eligible for jury immunity, as a combination of immunities on two different redemption tribe contestants would make things rather unfair.

It will be a noble contest.

Wow. I got dizzy reading that.

Well, I'm extremely bummed, since sobota and i_17bingo have been a lot of fun to read this season. I didn't want either of them to go. Kudos to both of them on some impressive writing this season.

And for lrig_rorrim and halfshellvenus: I'm sorry if my Green Room chatter earlier this week somehow invoked the LJ Idol "Final Destination" Clause, bringing back the "head to head" (to head) competition from Exhibit B. :-(

Don't worry - I don't think fate heard you and obliged the head-to-head matchup just to be sadistic. ;) I mean, unless you've got Fate's cell phone number and called in some favors. *eyes you suspiciously*

I don't (and wouldn't if I did). But I did write a home-game entry specifically *about* Fate, so one wonders about Fate being a little miffed.

It seems like all the Fates misaligned for the three of us, and I'm just bummed about the results.

Looking at the final votes (darn those double-immunities!), the top story was only a few votes away, and there were several next-level ties.

Basically, all very close for the most part.

One of the things that's disappointing but not unexpected is that we start Idol with many more people voting, and by the time we get near the end the participation is much lower. So that data tends to crowd together.

Gary would call that "more exciting!", and it is for him. But more nervewracking for everyone else. :O

By my count, we had 16 jurors this week, and there were votes for 14 contestants?

Living on a prayer...
