Cool! I may still write Home Game entries on the Free Topics, given time. Right now, I need to focus on Christmasy stuff, like helping KFP write the little children's book he wants to print and laminate for his new baby cousin!

We are on the road to Texas, with an overnight in Hope, Arkansas. Long drive still ahead for the day, but at least I have my phone, Internet, and the "Skin Game" (Dresden Files) audiobook to keep me and the hubby occupied.

Over 600 miles to go until we stop for the night...

I'm dogsitting all four dogs today. Ordinarily this wouldn't bother me except 1) our "special" boy has been acting out, which means that 2) housemates' adolescent boy is acting out, which means that 3) the other two are getting into the act, which means 4) I'm contemplating finishing off the wine even though it's only 11AM.

Nobody seems to care that I need to finish my shopping.

And I'm going to stop there lest I mar the GR festivities.

oh thank goodness. I was already starting to feel a bit exhausted, and the prospect of writing over the holidays was... um... more than a little daunting. Whew. This'll give me some time to recharge my writing batteries, read some books, and otherwise not stress about missing deadlines (because I'll be stressing about other stuff instead. Heh).
