I have an idea, and will need to sit down and actually try to type some words onto a paper. My ideas are always so great while they stay in my brain.
Then I just now saw an argument on FBook about a Meme and could go off of that. I think the point for me lately is just actually writing some stuff down.
I have my visa interview in Vancouver in 6 days. When I signed up for this, I figured I'd be bored by now and have dropped out but I'm happy I kept on, even though sometimes that means running home at 5pm and writing an entry in an hour. We have a long weekend this weekend so I'm pretty jazzed to get this done.
But instead I've been procrastinating today. Silly ADHD. I've done that thing where I go to clean and instead decide to scan all of my old photos and also sort through my old emails and papers.
My six-day workweek ended today. Tomorrow I may have more energy to read entries. Until then I barely have enough to flip the switch on my electric kettle. Earl Grey, take me away!
You didn't know about The Sound Of Music meme? That was on my FB page a few times last summer, I think. Um...yeah, it's not one of my favorites either.
I went over to that site and didn't even bother poking around. The home page is enough of an assault on whatever sensibilities I still possess.
I dropped out of season 8 early, and while the following two weeks were hell and it probably was the right thing, I missed it as soon as my life calmed down.
When I first saw this topic I had an idea, but I didn't love it. It didn't feel - writerly enough, or fancy enough or something. In the middle of a weekend of all the things though, it looks just fine. Now to get words out.
And yes, I get that the Venn diagram overlap for Maker Faire and Bay to Breakers is likely very small, but it would be awesome for me if either of those events would shift a little.
My wrists are killing me. I'm in the middle of typing a company policy manual that's due Monday morning so I haven't even started my entry. May need to take a bye.
The only idea I have for this topic is related to the reason I dropped out last time, but I'm not sure I want to go in that direction.

But yes, I should get writing!

Though those stupid insurance commercials with the paintings make more sense now. They aren't any less stupid, but they are less random.
And some things should just be off limits. Julie Andrews and The Sound of Music has been morphed into a "give a fuck" meme?
ugh.
