Welcome to LJ Idol: Week Bye!
OK, I’m joking. But you could be forgiven if you looked at the poll and thought that!
The good news is that you can pay more attention to the people who submitted this week. The bad news is that the rest are one step closer to the dreaded “bye out”. Some people this week took byes due to real life. I wouldn’t doubt that some looked at the coming bye out and took one strategically. Both have the same results, with the same risks.
We knew this week was going to be a brutal one. The next few will be, if my predictions hold true. But once we get through this pocket, there are some amazing writers this season who are going to be that much stronger, and that much closer to winning!
Unfortunately, in order to get there, some eggs must be broken. In this case, some people must be eliminated due to using their three byes, and failing to post again.
This time it’s especially difficult because although we didn’t get to see much from them - some are veterans. Not just “veterans” but some of my personal favorites who I was really excited about their return. Heck, there is one vet playing under an alt on this list, who would have delighted quite a few folks who remember her. But alas, that’s not the way it played out.
So, leaving us this week are:
