Wow, the GR has been up for nearly and hour and I'm still SECOND?

I guess Gary is going to be getting a HUGE GIFT BONANZA for his birthday - everyone must be out shopping!

I made a double batch of yummy Russian Tea Cookies last night, courtesy of michikatinski's recipe. My BFF is having a tea party sleepover for her birthday tomorrow night, so I baked enough cookies to bring about 3 dozen to her party, and another 2 dozen in to share with my co-workers. Everyone has been raving about them! *\o/*

They are yummy, crumbly, buttery cookies with walnuts in them. You'll have to ask michikatinski for the recipe if you want it - I'm sworn to secrecy! ;)

Also, why does the GR time stamp say 3:00 PM? We are in the same time zone, Gary, and it is currently only noon here!

For some reason, LJ always posts time stamps as UTC for me. That is regardless of what account I use, or the fact I prefer PDT. So maybe it was 3 over across the pond?

I'm pretty sure I've seen that as a preference somewhere. (Don't ask me where. Whenever I'm trying to change something like that I'm always blindly clicking wherever until I find it.)

Wow, I've been in no-internet land (otherwise known as my grandmother's house) since the end of July, and here I was thinking surely the season had already ended in my absence. Sadly, I will still miss the final two entries, because I'm still in moving limbo and will not have time for another wifi field trip this week.

Good luck to lrig_rorrim and the_lettersea just the same, and congrats to everyone who came close.
