Just don't crack that whip too hard Gary.
NY spent with friends was awesome. Food? huge prawns in lettuce beds as a start. Assorted meats and salads, crackers and smoked cheese, and an olive dip that was delicious, baby potatoes with mint, several antipasto dishes. Then desserts to die for!.... a fruit jelly made with sparkling red wine, a merengue cake with custard cream, and strawberries, then more cheeses and tiny chocolate cups containing mousse.
Then sitting in the garden looking at the moon, drinking wine, it was a balmy night. But we weren't late, guess who was mad enough to be doing a Market stall on January 1st....? got it in one. That is another story. But getting up at 6.am was just the start of it.

Now we're relaxing as I prepare to go back to work tomorrow evening (my holiday day off was Friday)
As for how I feel, I think it's more like a Mayan since I was about to get started on a 2013 calendar when the neighboring Aztecs informed me my culture is going to be
collapsed and assimilated instead -- hope those nice Spaniards in the fancy boats in a century or so treat us better. =)
