Time? It just flies out the window.

44 days until DragonCon and I am behind the 8 Ball.

So is anyone, besides me, going to D'Con?

Is that avatar the new Vincent from the new Fright Night? Because... wow. I thought the Criss Angel look was awesome.

Doctor, I didn't know you had it in you...

Yep and that's without the wig and beard.

The European posters were released this past weekend. I found them online somewhere and grabbed this one.

I may be a straight male, but I totally want to have sex with this guy.

I'll take the plunge:

My favorite entry of the year was way back in Week 16, team-jessie's Open Topic. The subject matter is heavy and complex, but she doesn't duck it or obfuscate rather she states everything that needs to be known up front, with frank, simple, and (for reasons I can't put a finger on) exhausted language. There's a lot to be appalled by here, but she refuses to judge. It's somehow both objective and mournful, and it has haunted me since I read it in March.

And since nobody asked, the thing I wrote I liked best was my Week 23 Threesome. It enabled a trio of wildly divergent writers to attend an arms expo with eyes that are so very clearly their own. You had the almost nihilistic passion of superhappytime, the exotic yet still somehow mundane (and therefore hilarious) travelogue of tamaraland, and then you had me, whose manic, cranky banter totally didn't belong, but still fit in.

And don't get me started on every. Single. Entry I've read this season.

(A special shout out goes to dizzy_writing for beckoning me here, because... wow. Where else can you find... this? ( ... )

The best thing that's happened to me in LJ Idol in general is about a eleventy-billion über-talented, supportive, and just plain fun new friends I've picked up.

And then there's... well, those who pay attention to comedychick know all about that...

Wait, what are you talking about? I haven't got a clue. :P

Oh my God, thank you so much!

It actually started me off on researching my family history a bit more, and all I'll say is I have some ammo for next season.

This is a really tremendous compliment. That was such a personal entry for me. To hear that it resonated with others is just flooring me.

Favourite piece ... we have to choose just one? I'm not sure I can do that!

The first to come to mind are:

nishi-kaze's piece about the uncarved block:

java-fiend's entry for 'Whisper':

imafarmgirl's Dark Side entry:

serpentpixie's Open Topic:

and really, there were many more, but since I'm kind of cheating listing all of these, and since I'm supposed to be putting on a load of washing, I should probably end now :)

<3 I love the flyaways. I actually submitted the second flyaways (the prologue one) as a monologue for part of my Masters portfolio :D
Thank you for liking it!!! :) :) :)

There are so many entries I've added to memories as S7 favourites (and I'm glad there was no topic asking us to pick just five for that reason!), but to highlight just one - the stand-out is easily joyfulfeather's week 23 piece, Taking Care.

I still think that one is amazing, too.

It pushed like 5480 buttons XD

Also, this entry which I'd totally thought was from last season until I went and had another look.

I think I missed that one. >.> In my defence, I read hardly anything in week 1 since I was busy concentrating on upcoming travel and music video. Have opened it in a tab now to come back to.

Mine too :( :( I felt so sad this morning because usually new poll = heaps of stuff to read today! I am tempted to go back and find this one entry that I loved to pieces but stupidly didn't save the link for... no idea who wrote it and I only *think* I know what topic it was for. LOL.

If you described it here, someone might be able to tell you who wrote it!

Also, I have new stuff to read, and old entries to go back to that I missed the first time around, but someone keeps distracting me >.>

It had pictures with it that took my breath away. Farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. Sky that went on forever.
