I hardly know what to do with a promptless break! I guess I'll spend part of it doing Christmas things, though. If I HAVE to. *sigh*
Actually, the next four nights are going to be dedicated to getting some real sleep, because this three or four hours here and there really isn't cutting it. *passes out on the keyboard*
I can't explain to you how excited I am for Christmas. I come into my boyfriend's house with half a dozen gifts under the tree. I haven't been this excited since I was a little child. ^^
My plans today is to wait for UPS to come and bring my last gift for said bf. My plans for the rest of the week is to take it easy, and hang out with the bf as much as possible before I have to leave in January.
Hi all! I know I've been really quiet of late. I've just been trying to get back into the swing of things. The purple cast of doom was removed a couple of weeks ago and now it's just learning to use the leg again. I have to admit this is even more painful then when I broke it! So getting through that, trying to get back into the routine of work and all has sapped most of my energy. Sleep has been my friend of late.
Plans for the holiday are just being quiet. We'll have dinner at our house as my mother is getting too old to handle cooking a big dinner. We're going to have a turducken for Christmas dinner which should be an experience. We'll go to my MIL's for Christmas eve but other than that I plan on just relaxing at home. I need it. It's amazing how tired I get! I feel like a big baby because I'm usually not one to give in to stuff but this...geez!
I'm glad you're making progress with your leg. I've never had a break that bad--but I did have a pretty nasty multiple fracture with my ankle as a teenager. And physical therapy really can be super draining. But! It's worth it. You'll get through it, because you're strong and determined and awesome.
A break is a good thing -- I was planning on bowing out this week. I work in a hospital, so my regular work schedule, plus Christmas, plus guests was starting to look overwhelming. But now I can sit back and work my butt off ... um ... relax in the few moments I'll have. Thank you, and Happy Holidays!
Well, today and tomorrow will be mostly eaten up by work. As usual, I have Friday and Saturday off, which will be spent celebrating with family. Beyond that, there will be baking... oh, yes, there will be baking. ;p
Cookies, mostly, but some breads and things as well. I'm starting with mint chocolate chip cookies for my brother, who's stationed in Germany until next year.
