The end of the poll means that it's time to say goodbye.

This time around, during the poll, two contestants who needed to spend more time on RL issues decided to bow out of the competition. arasan and js_africanus, two very talented writers, are gone. Their presence in the game will certainly be missed.

I read this and my brain decided they were picking new tribes to go to, not forming new tribes out of the contestants... so it's probably just as well that I don't have to use my brain to write anything this weekend.

Happy US Gluttony Day, Idolers! Or are we idolaters? I always get those confused.

Tomorrow I'll be driving up to VA to actually spend some time with my husband! *gasp* This is the first time I've spent with him that hasn't been related to medical issues since July. Hopefully I'll be able to get to a hospital to get the latest ruptured disc checked out--ah, the joy of being a functioning single parent with two young kids.

Oh, he's fine. I'm the one with the back problems. His command hasn't been willing to let him go for a few days so I can go to the hospital, so I'm driving the 5 hours up to him to do it instead.

Stressful, yes. But never boring!
