I had missed Welfy's post, so I just went and read it. WHile it confused the hell out of me, it was damn funny and well written and also, she posted a photo of herself looking sexy, which is a good thing she's sexy, cause imagine if the photo didn't match the writing? Like she said she had legs, but she was missing one of them? . I just don't know what this former robot thing is all about, I should probablu, maybe, do research ( ... )

What was it about my post that was confusing?

That website I linked is some weird site my boyfriend found when looking up "welfy" on google. So it's been a running joke that he had tried purchasing that welding machine but he ended up with me. "This is not what I paid for!" he says. :^P

I'm flattered you think I'm sexy. :^) I couldn't find any other full-body pictures of me that were, well, tame enough to show in a public entry, hehe.

You've explained the robot/welding machine thing I didn't understand, so we're all square.

Well, other than mentioning full body pictures not tame enough for public entries. Tease!

I found it VERY interesting that several lj'ers (myself included) felt the need to somewhat disassociate from ourselves in order to "pimp" ourselves out. We used things like dolls, robots, toys, etc. to make a product and sell it instead of just saying nice things like:

I am neato. I am kind. I'm so hot I leave charred footprints.

Yeah, I had trouble with that. It just isn't in my nature to sell myself that way. I wouldn't think a pragmatic way of selling myself would be effective in writing a strong essay, so ya use what ya can, I guess.

Looks like it's going to be interesting to see if this season becomes more than the "popfiend and welfy show." I've already heard a suggestion of Survivor-style alliances. =)

On the cultural reference topic: Was it just me, or were the Super Bowl commercials really disappointing this year? I mean, the map-monster rocked, and a couple of others were OK, but nothing like we've seen in the past.

Commercials were a bit of a letdown this year. There were a few of them I chuckled at, and one or two that I actually laughed. I don't remember what they were, so they failed at their job :)

Godaddy's ads have gotten really stale, it's time for them to give up the lame milking of their ad from 3 years ago and find something new.

The Blockbuster "mouse" ad was exceptional. And we liked the Emerald Nuts "Robert Goulet" ad. The FedEx and Sierra Mist ones were full of lame.

thanks!

i shouldn't have been so self depricating. i was really pleased with how many people did vote for me.

(yes i do - it's a multi-purpose attachment. it's technical name is "finger". i come with one, and seven back ups. also come with the newer model of "finger", we in the biz like to call it "thumb". due to there popularity, it only comes with one spare. however, if in need a "big toe" can be modified to help out.)
