Results - Week 3
You may have thought it would never come. I may have thought a time or two that it would never come... there are some people who are going to wish that it didn't.
But it's here now. The results post.
Before we get into how the voting went though, we have the business of saying goodbye to those who struck out... they missed their final deadline and have been eliminated. There are always a few people who sign up with the best intentions, and life just gets in the way. (in one case, Putin's f-ed up agenda got in the way) I definitely understand that. Especially right now. Life definitely gets in the way.
We have 1 drop - kickthehobbit
and some eliminations - amberdawnpullin, attheonesix,
aur0ra, beeker121 Gingerblossom13, Goneahead, Impoetry, Kate_spencer, lapis_lazuli615, Mrdlcastle, Sorchawench, Tijuanagringo, veritas_st, Worldofcharlie and Yuniebaby
It's a mixture of old friends and a couple promising new writers that I was looking forward to checking out. But, as I said, that is how it goes sometimes. I hope that we will have the chance to check out their work in the future, and that they will stick around to hang out in the community and to cheer on their favorites!
Every time we do a contestant only vote, I learn a little bit more about the new mixture of people who are making up the season. Based on this one, I can say that the field is *extremely* competitive. There are usually a few front runners, people with the most votes, and that's true now - but they are only a couple votes away from the middle of the pack, which is where most people are - and that group is only a couple votes away from the bottom. Which means this could shift at any time. It's probably the closest grouping I've ever seen from a contestant only match.
But, there is the matter of handing out the strikes to the two with the fewest votes. This time, those were estelle and kotenok_angel.
The one positive of this 3 strikes format, is that we don't have to say goodbye to either of them today!
For the rest of you - if you don't already know, when there is a contestant only vote, I do NOT give out the totals. But if you email me at clauderainsrm@gmail.com I will let you know what group you fell into: the top, middle or bottom, for those of you who are curious.
