First? I got done reading and voting the day the polls went up, and it’s been nice to have some extra time to myself, lol!
Hubby and I finally got to see the movie 1917 last night, and it was very good! I’m on the bubble about the new The Invisible Man movie that I’ve seen previews for; on the one hand, I love Elizabeth Moss; on the other, the movie is categorized as SciFi Horror/Thriller, and I don’t like horror movies.... what to do....
I’ve never cared for horror movies. I mean, I saw the original Nightmare on Elm Street and a few of that ilk, but it’s never been a genre that I was drawn to. I’m fine with thrillers - hubby gets amused whenever I get startled and jumpy - and after the preview he also thought it was interesting.
I’ll probably wind up seeing it, knowing me, but I may regret that decision later!
I used to enjoy horror films, but then after experiencing more of life, a lot of them ended up being triggering, and now I just wonder if I'm too sensitive for stuff that so purposefully tries to push boundaries. I do that a lot though--watch anyway, then just regret it. lol I need to make better decisions for myself.
Maybe that should be the test. Do you want to be president bad enough to make your way through a field of landmines and do you have the wits to succeed? Make it a kind of Hunger Games for the politically ambitious.
MermaidFan and RainBowBoy are ok but struggling with all the newness of their respective lives. Her bleeding is more than average but not 911 worthy. The home health care nurse comes tomorrow. I think she’ll be fine, but her anxiety is thru the roof. Add to that RainBowBoy’s bilirubin level is too high. He gets rechecked at 8 AM. Please send good thoughts!
