Mitch Hedburg was a GOD! So sad that too dew people remember him today.

I spent the weekend doing far too much driving so that KFP could attend two birthday parties in vastly different parts if the state.

In the good news department, my cold is finally abating, or rather, it's moved on to my husband. So bad news for him, I guess.

The previous anonymous comment was from me, because I'm apparently not as much over my cold as I'd thought.

Couldn't agree more about Mitch Hedberg! I wish more people knew him, too, especially since I quote him a lot and no one ever knows what I'm doing, hahahaha

Gary, I love that you quoted him!

Back in the day, I used to watch all the stand-up comedy shows, like "Live at the Improv." Mitch Hedberg was a brilliant comic, gone way too soon. It's amazing how many people who were performing those types of venues at the time he was are superstars now, like Drew Carey.

I was lucky enough to see him twice. I also got to hang out with his widow Lynn after one of her shows.

I did laundry, went to our weekly RPG session and survived to fight another day, ate Chinese food, watched The Mandalorian, and otherwise didn’t do very much. Still pondering the topic.

Me too, topic-wise. There's something there, maybe. Maybe.

Having blood tests ordered is one of the reasons I fear going to the doctor. Though she can also order them by email. :(

I don't think she understands what being phobic about blood draws _means_. Or that every bad experience just reinforces it. :(

My weekend included stewing over the prompt but not really coming up with anything until this morning.

But mainly it involved balancing checkbooks, packing away Christmas lights, packing away other Christmas stuff, caulking closet-floor splits that are letting in cold air from under the house (and insulating a super-awkward gas-pipe in that same closet), cycling, putting other stuff away. And then the power went out around 9 p.m, with clothes stranded in the washer that I needed for today, plus documents still to be gathered for work. All by candlelight/flashlight.

That's what we all want, isn't it? A jolt of chaos as we're trying to prepare for Monday? :O

Dang, that's one obnoxious Monday, reaching back in time to hassle you on Sunday night!!

That seems just _like_ a Monday too, doesn't it? It has the super-power of "Thwart." :D

i misread "floor splits" as "floor SPIRITS", and it made sense to me because cranky house spirits could totally let in the cold air. and no one likes a cold closet. i'm glad that's not it, tho. i mean, caulking is probably easier and faster than an exorcism.
